Beaches
Villasimius offers a great variety of beaches, the most famous and closest to the center is the Simius beach which then continues with the particular Cala Giunco, called the beach of the Due Mari, characterized by a strip of white sand between the blue sea and the pond of Notteri, a small mirror of salt water. Still there are the Campus beach, the Campulongu beach, follows the small beach adjacent to the tourist port, known as the rice beach, and continuing towards Capo Carbonara we find Cala Caterina. On the east side of the Cape we find Cala Burroni near a quarry for the extraction of granite. Continuing towards Costa Rey we find Punta is Molentis with the homonymous beach.
To visit in Villasimius are the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area, the Porto Giunco Tower, the Archaeological Museum, the Old Fortress, the Menhirs, the Sette Fratelli Park.
There are many activities to which you can dedicate yourself: diving, boat excursions, off-road excursions, boat rentals, horseback riding.
From west to east we meet the beaches of:
PORTO SA RUXI
Small bay suitable for mistral days because it is one of the few beaches to be sheltered from it.
BEACH OF CAPO BOI
Small beach that takes its name from the homonymous islet in front; short beaches alternate with small cliffs.
CAMPUS BEACH
Made up of a long stretch of fine white sand. It is one of the ideal places for lovers of long walks by the sea.
CAMPU LONGU
Location formed by a long promenade of fine white sand. The water has the typical transparency of Villasimius.
BEACH OF RICE
Beach next to the marina.
BEACH OF S.STEFANO AND CALA CATERINA
Stretch of coast divided into several coves with granite rocks emerging from the water.
PORTO GIUNCO
Long and abundant beach, also called the Spiaggia dei Due Mari for the large Notteri pond that lies behind it. The granite promontory is surmounted by the Spanish Tower of Porto Giunco.
SIMIUS
Beach located right in front of the town, it stretches for several kilometers. It is the ideal place for lovers of long walks by the sea.
PUNTA MOLENTIS
Area full of coves with small beaches, some accessible by car, others only on foot.
