Villasimius

Villasimius is a spectacular tourist resort located about 40 km from Cagliari, and is located in the south-eastern extremity of Sardinia. Along the coastal road that leads from the Sardinian capital to the most extreme point of south-eastern Sardinia, you can enjoy a breathtaking view that is just a taste of what Villasimius offers:
32 km of coasts of rare beauty where white sandy beaches alternate with coves of different shapes, interspersed here and there by cliffs and variglioni. The town is about 1 km from the sea (Simius beach). The coast from Capo Boi to Punta Molentis is a succession of long beaches, alternating with coves, of very fine white sand and transparent turquoise waters.

In the internal areas there is a thick Mediterranean scrub, still intact, and extended on hills slowly sloping down towards the sea. It is surrounded by Natural Parks, which for years have safeguarded the intact characteristics of the typical landscape of Southern Sardinia. The protected marine area of Capo Carbonara protects the entire sea mirror in front of the coasts of Villasimius, including the islands of Cavoli and Serpentara with severe restrictions, which prevent access to unauthorized persons. Behind this territory, in the slightly mountainous part, stands the Sette Fratelli Natural Park, with extensive forests and a wealth of Mediterranean scrub, where it is still possible to meet numerous specimens of Sardinian deer.

All this has led to this corner of paradise being called " Mediterranean Polynesia ".
